Winter can be challenging for lawns, and it’s essential to provide proper lawncare even during the colder months. There is plenty of work to do e.g. clearing leaves and debris, mowing the grass. Whilst the grass growth slows down from now on and there is less mowing, it’s still important to carry out routine maintenance work in your garden. By doing so now it will help ensure that your lawn will spring back to life come February/March. Right now, your lawn is probably strewn with leaves and other debris from the wind and rain we usually experience at this time. So, it would be advisable to rake up the leaves or use a leaf blower to blow the leaves into one area before we arrive to treat your lawn.

At Greenfeet we recommend that all the clippings and leaves be collected and used as a shallow mulch around the roots of shrubs and other established trees, as this is an ideal source of organic matter.
